Jewish Un-Camp Summer
July 2-25, 2012
Once school’s out for the year, the temptation to do something really remarkable starts creeping in. Bais Chana’s Un-Camp should satisfy the urge: it’s a month with teen girls from all over the globe, a (really unusual) out-of-this-world location with fabulous outdoor trips, creative workshops and service projects to match – and the chance to do something that’s completely mind-expanding.
Bais Chana’s un-camp is an open-minded, open-forum learning program where teen girls, ages 15-18, can explore their Judaism, expand their minds and connect with other cool Jewish teens. Did we mention you’ll have fun?
Check out these interviews of girls who’ve come already.

Activities
This summer the Jewish Un-Camp heads to Canada! Picture our gorgeous resort on Maple Lake in the Algonquin Highlands, just two and a half hours outside of Toronto, Ontario. Hike the great outdoors, paint to your heart’s content, go kayaking or drum with new friends, try your hand at stained glass, do comedy improv, and stretch your thinking with Jewish learning that’s deep, important and life-changing. Let us know if you have any restrictions on activities – we’ll make sure you don’t get left out.
Classes
Think, laugh, debate, absorb and grapple with your most important questions about life. Two fascinating classes daily on the heart and soul of Judaism will challenge and stimulate your thinking. Take on the human psyche, the purpose of life, what true love really means, what a soul is, what G-d wants from us, the differences between men and women, why marriage, how to beat sadness, what fate and free choice are, what “the chosen people” really means, and much more. Extra bonus: no tests.
Why we call it the Un-Camp
It’s the question everyone asks…and you’ll be fully prepared to answer it once you get home. (Life has to have some surprises, no?)
Where we’re staying
